About Us

Willie Staten Jr. serves as a dedicated coach and leader for the SoCal Snipers Youth Basketball Organization. Basketball has played a defining role in his life, and he brings both his passion for the game and his firsthand experience as a player into every training session, practice, and competition.

Willie played high school basketball at Corona Centennial High School, where he helped lead the team to the CIF Championship and a berth in the CIF State Playoffs. After high school, he continued his career at the collegiate level, playing one year at Chaffey College. These experiences shaped his understanding of hard work, teamwork, and resilience—values he now instills in every athlete he coaches.

As a coach, Willie is committed to developing young athletes on and off the court. He believes basketball is more than a sport; it is a platform for teaching leadership, discipline, respect, and perseverance. His coaching philosophy emphasizes strong fundamentals, high basketball IQ, and character growth through accountability and effort.

To Willie, the SoCal Snipers are more than a program—they are a family. He is honored to guide the organization’s athletes, support their goals, and help create opportunities that extend far beyond the game.
